  • Early morning networking at the Brampton Board of Trade

    The next Brampton Board of Trade’s Morning Networking meeting will be hosted by the Centre for Education and Training on January 19 from 8-9:30 am. Tickets are free for the first 50 members who register, for the rest it is $20 for members, $30 for members who will be allowed to speak for one minute and $50 for potential Board members. In addition, the first 10 members who register and bring a friend will be allowed one minute to speak to the group.

  • Remember those in need this holiday season

    The City of Brampton is holding a Toys for Tots and Food Drive on December 12. Citizens can drop off a new, unwrapped toy or non-perishable food items at any Brampton community centre, library or fire station. They can also bring them to City Hall.

  • Eco-business Breakfast in Mississauga

    The Brampton Board of Trade, along with Partners in Project Green and the Mississauga Board of Trade, are presenting an Eco-business Breakfast on December 6 from 8 am-10 am. The subject of the breakfast will be Driving Sustainability through the Supply Chain.

  • Learn how to make your creative business succeed

    The HACE Business for the Arts Weekend will take place from November 10-14 at the Brampton Golf Club. This free event will feature 13 workshops which will teach you how to “maximize potential for success” of your creative business. Attendance is free for anyone who lives or works in Brampton and each workshop lasts 75 minutes. The HACE event has been taking place since 1999 and draws hundreds of participants.

  • BRA Day in Brampton

    October is National Breast Cancer Month in Canada, several events are held all over the country which highlight this disease and the surrounding fears and procedures that women who are diagnozed with breast cancer face. One such event, held on October 19, was National Breast Reconstruction Awareness (BRA) Day. Several hospitals throughout Canada held special open houses to highlight this important subject. The day was created to clear up the fears and misconceptions about this type of surgery and for women to have the chance to ask questions of medical personnel in a relaxed setting.

  • Conservation Day in Brampton

    The second of two Conservation Days in Brampton will take place on October 1 at Fletcher’s Meadow Secondary School. This event will allow residents of Peel to bring in items that are often difficult to recycle. This includes household hazardous waste such as paint, electronics such as old computer monitors, re-useable goods such as clothing and paper items for shredding such as confidential papers.

    When it comes to the matter of print, companies more often than not have some in-house printing facilities. However, they also have to rely on professional companies from time to time to provide them with some of their printing needs. It is up to the sales staff of those professional companies to sell themselves and to convince businesses to use their services. Without a competent sales staff, a printing or any other kind of business cannot survive.

  • Brampton Day 2011

    The City of Brampton hosts many community events through the year. These events range from the annual jazz festival, to Halloween fright nights, to the upcoming Brampton Day. In order to keep the public informed on these events, the authorities enlist the help of a flyer printing service in Brampton to provide literature about all of the current and upcoming events.     The 2011 CONSAC Imagemakers trade show will take place from September 23 to September 24 at the International Centre in Mississauga. CONSAC Imagemakers is the national trade show of the Sign Association of Canada which has taken place annually since 1985; the slogan of the show is “image is everything.”

    The Small Business Enterprise Centre (SBEC) in Brampton is an organization that provides services to small business owners and entrepreneurs. They offer tips such as the importance of designing and business stationery printing, which will help to give your business a professional image which will attract new clients.
